KBK Alliance Winter Course & Advanced Grading 2026
The KBK Alliance Winter Course and Advanced Grading will take place on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th November 2026.
This course is for students working towards the following advanced grades:
Brown White Belt
Brown Black Belt
Black Belt
The Summer and Winter Courses are the only opportunities for students at Brown Belt level and above to complete their advanced grading.

Advanced Grading Practice Session

2:00pm – 4:00pm
The Ashcombe School Sports Hall

This session is specifically to help students prepare for the Advanced Winter Grading and will take place alongside students practising for lower grades.
For students grading towards Brown White, Brown Black & Black Belt.

Students attending the Advanced Grading must attend the full weekend.
Payment is required to confirm your place. All course bookings are non-refundable.

How the Weekend Normally Works
The exact programme for the 2026 Winter Course is still to be confirmed. The times and activities below are provided as a guide based on how the course normally runs and may change.
Saturday 28th November 2026
Approx. 1:00pm — Course begins
Afternoon — Training, technical work and advanced grading preparation
Approx. 5:00pm — End of Day One
Please arrive in plenty of time. Once the course has started, late arrivals may not be permitted to join.
Sunday 29th November 2026
Approx. 9:45am — Morning briefing
Approx. 10:00am — Course run / fitness session begins
Approx. 12:00pm — Lunch break
Afternoon — Advanced grading and assessment, normally including areas such as linework, kata, fitness and other grading requirements
Approx. 5:00pm — Course finishes
Please note: This is only an approximate schedule at this stage. The final timings, running order and content may change, and a full programme will be provided closer to the event.
What to Bring
Active gear suitable for fitness sessions
Suitable outdoor footwear and clothing for all weather conditions
Running gear and trainers for the Sunday morning run
Full martial arts uniform for all grading aspects
Full martial arts uniform must be worn on Sunday
Full kit bag, including pads, mouthguard and any other required equipment
Plenty of drinking water
Light snacks for Saturday
Lunch and snacks for Sunday
A full change of clothes
And most importantly — the true spirit of a Martial Artist.
Spectators
We do not cater for spectators during the training sessions, so students should be left in the capable hands of the KBK instructors for the weekend.
Supporters are normally welcome at the end of the course on Sunday. No photography or filming is permitted during training or grading.
